CNHC Featured on Tampa Bay 28 to Highlight Foster Parent Education Day
Children’s Network of Hillsborough was recently featured on Tampa Bay 28 to discuss the urgent need for foster parents and promote the upcoming Foster Parent Education Day. Kymberlye Smith, CNHC’s Drector of Foster Care licensing, joined Katie MacElroy of Family Support Services and Ralph Zuckerman of Old McMicky’s Farm in an interview with reporter Larissa Scott. The segment emphasized the shortage of foster families for teens and sibling groups and worked to dispel common myths about fostering.
Foster Parent Education Day will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old McMicky’s Farm, 9612 Crescent Drive, Odessa. The free, family-friendly event will provide information, resources, and firsthand insight from current foster parents. Registration is required.
