Gratitude After The Storm

Dear Children’s Network Family:

We at CNHC are deeply grateful for the incredible outpouring of support we have received for our children and families as we recover from Hurricanes Milton and Helene. I would like to take a moment to celebrate two wonderful events from this week.

CNHC Hurricane Milton Relief Drive Serves Hundreds of Individuals

To assist those impacted by the storm, Children’s Network of Hillsborough launched a Hurricane Relief Drive to gather essential supplies for those impacted by the storm. On Tuesday, October 15, our Relief Drive event provided much-needed assistance to over 600 people, including foster parents, child welfare workers, and others in the community.

I wish to extend our thanks to the organizations and individuals whose donations made our drive a success. We especially wish to recognize the Florida Department of Children and Families, Citrus Family Care Network, Sunshine Health, Operation BBQ Relief, Hillsborough County Family Partnership Alliance, Centene, Feeding Tampa Bay, Central Florida Behavioral Health Network, State Representative Traci Koster, Walmart, Board Chair Lesley Miller Jr., GOLD Marketing, One More Child, and FLORIDA 1.27.

Governor DeSantis Presents Relief Check

On Thursday, October 17, Governor Ron DeSantis, First Lady Casey DeSantis, and DCF Secretary Shevaun Harris visited Tampa to present funds to local nonprofit organizations assisting in storm relief. Children’s Network of HIllsborough received a generous $50,000 contribution from the nonprofit Florida Disaster Fund. To watch the press conference, visit the WESH website.

Thank you to the Governor, the First Lady, Secretary Harris, and the Florida Disaster Fund for their support in this challenging time!  Together with the success of our Relief Drive, this incredible contribution provides needed relief to local children and families.

Sincerely,
