Children’s Network of Hillsborough, Family Support Services, and Old McMicky’s Farm are partnering to host a Foster Parent Education Day. The event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the farm (9612 Crescent Drive, Odessa, FL 33556) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
No matter where you are in your foster care journey—whether you’re ready to take the next step or just exploring the idea—this day is for you!
Foster Parent Education Day is designed to make things simple. In just one morning, you’ll hear from agencies involved and learn how they each support foster families. You’ll discover the full range of resources available, gain a clear understanding of the foster care process, and—most importantly — connect with current foster families. You’ll hear first-hand about the incredible rewards of fostering and the profound impact it can have on your life and the life of a child in need.
Every child deserves a safe, nurturing home. Foster parents play a vital role in providing stability, connection, love, and encouragement for children and their siblings. We’re here to support you on this journey and help more families open their hearts and homes to kids who need them most.
This event is free, and children are welcome, but you do need to register to attend, but registration is required using the online form.
We look forward to seeing you at Old McMicky’s Farm!
*Attendance at this event qualifies for the 1-hour info session required by Children’s Network of Hillsborough County & Family Support Services
