Children’s Network of Hillsborough Receives Spirit of Humanity Award
Children’s Network of Hillsborough County is honored to receive the $25,000 Spirit of Humanity Award from the DeBartolo Family Foundation. The award recognizes local nonprofits that demonstrate exceptional compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to uplifting others. Since becoming Hillsborough County’s lead community-based care agency in July 2022, CNHC has worked to ensure children grow up safe, supported, and surrounded by stability, coordinating foster care, adoption, case management, and abuse prevention services across Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit.

The Spirit of Humanity Award supports CNHC’s continued efforts to strengthen families and improve outcomes for children through innovative prevention and permanency programs, including the Intensive Family Services Team, which helps families remain safely together whenever possible. CNHC is grateful to the DeBartolo Family Foundation for its partnership and belief in the power of community-driven solutions to change lives and build stronger families throughout Hillsborough County.
“The Spirit of Humanity Award represents the very heart of our work, standing with children and families when circumstances beyond their control threaten their safety and stability,” said CNHC CEO Terri Balliet.
