Guiding Families to a Brighter Future

Children’s Network of Hillsborough’s Family Mentoring Program trains volunteers to help parents who are ready to be reunified with their children. Each mentor works to build a committed and trusting relationship with the parents to support them through the transition and help strengthen their family for years to come.

The Family Mentoring Program is an excellent volunteer opportunity for those who wish to make a positive impact for local families. Mentoring a Family for just 1 hour a week can help parents reach their goals. As a volunteer mentor, you will work with the family to build a committed and trusting relationship when the parents and their child or children are reunified. Mentors provide support, assist families in accessing community resources, and help family members increase their self-sufficiency.
