Shelby Varela

Director of Integrated Health

Shelby brings over 20 years of experience working with youth and families and launched into child welfare through an undergrad internship at St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS).  Graduate studies brought her to Chicago where she began her career working in early childhood development and STFC before returning to her roots in Florida.  Since moving to Florida, Shelby has worked in diversion at PACE Center for Girls in Hillsborough County and served as the Clinical Supervisor in Pasco and Pinellas counties for Eckerd Connects.

Shelby obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Flagler College and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago.  She is a registered Art Therapist (ATR) and excited to bring her passion for partnership and provider development to Children’s Network of Hillsborough.
