Dr. Miselene Kruer brings over 17 years of experience working in child welfare. She started her career here in Hillsborough County working as a case manager with Children’s Home Society of Florida in 2006. Miselene’ s passion has always been in diversion services, working with programs that serve more than 500 families from our Hillsborough County community per year. In 2011, she started working with Family NET, Gracepoint’s diversion program, as a Case Manager, and she quickly rose to Program Manager. She served as the Program Manager for Family NET for 8 years. During her career, she has worked tirelessly to build relationships with community partners and stakeholders to preserve families and safely keep children out of the dependency system. Miselene was raised in Haiti and came to the United States at a young age, and she is bilingual in English and Creole. Her experience includes case management, crisis counseling, expertise in domestic violence services, and leadership.

Miselene holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Counselor Education and Supervision with a concentration in Forensic Mental Health. She has made it her life’s mission to work with families and children in need in her community.
