We are delighted to share that News Channel 8 (WFLA) profiled Hillsborough County foster mom Karen Bowen in a special story this week. Karen has fostered for nearly 20 years, helping hundreds of children in our community.

The story includes young adult Jamila Smith, who recently departed for Santa Fe College in Gainesville after being cared for by Karen. “I’m anxious,” Jamila told WFLA. “But I know Miss Karen has prepared me for the world, so I know I’ll be fine.”
