CNHC’s Christopher Terrigino Celebrated As CFO of the Year Honoree

Tampa, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Business Journal has named Christopher Terrigino, CFO of Children’s Network of Hillsborough County (CNHC), a 2025 CFO of the Year Honoree.

The Business Journal’s CFO of the Year honors the region’s top financial executives. Terrigino was selected as one of only 17 honorees from across the Tampa Bay area. He will join the other winners and local business leaders for a special awards luncheon at the Hilton Tampa Downtown on May 21, 2025.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal,” Terrigino said. “CNHC continues to receive accolades for our work in the community, and I am thrilled to be part of the transformation of local child welfare to the benefit of our children and families.”

CNHC is the nonprofit lead agency that has managed the child welfare system in Hillsborough County since July 1, 2022. Terrigino’s financial stewardship has helped the organization become a statewide leader in prevention and diversion. By investing in programs to strengthen at-risk families, CNHC has reduced the number of children entering foster care by more than 1,000. The organization’s prevention efforts earned the 2024 Moments of Impact Forward Focus Award from the Florida Department of Children and Families.

The CFO of the Year award continues the recognition received by CNHC from the Business Journal. Earlier this year, the publication honored CNHC CEO Terri Balliet as a BusinessWoman of the Year.

“We are delighted to be celebrated for our efforts to create brighter futures for Hillsborough County’s children and families,” Balliet said. “The honors that Chris and I have received demonstrate the importance of effective child welfare leadership for the well-being of our community.”
